The Paranormal Research Initiative

Welcome to the Paranormal Research Initiative website! Founded in the fall of 2007, the Paranormal Research Initiative (PRI) is a small group of independent researchers and casual investigators based in the Niagara region.  PRI is dedicated to the investigation and research of alleged paranormal activity at historically significant locations through scientific methodology.

We believe in taking a sceptical approach to paranormal research, trying to "debunk" evidence of paranormal activity before labelling it "paranormal". Reports on the findings from PRI investigations are presented on this website, in addition to a host of information related to paranormal research and discussion forums.

June 20, 2010 Interim Investigation Report As noted previously, PRI has been conducting an ongoing investigation at an historic location in the Niagara area. We have posted an interim report on our findings thus far, including a potential EVP. A link to the report along with the audio capture has been posted in the Reports section of the PRI website.   Site Update Over the past week, we have been experimenting with different solutions to a technical problem with the embedded audio players throughout the website. We have settled (for now, at least) on a new Flash player, which should avoid the problems that come with relying on a third-party site.
