About the Paranormal Research Initiative
The origins of the Paranormal Research Initiative date back to 2002, when its founding members met and learned of their shared interest in taking a sceptical approach to investigating the paranormal. They began exchanging ideas on research and investigative methods and finally, in September of 2007, PRI was officially formed.
Since its beginnings, PRI has undergone many changes. Members have come and gone, and in November 2009, we relocated our centre of operations to the Niagara region. Today, PRI chooses to focus on the investigation of historically significant locations, combining our love of history with our interest in the unknown. PRI remains committed to providing paranormal research and investigations, and evidence analysis.
The Paranormal Research Initiative conducts investigations of historic locations reported to be haunted. All PRI investigators remain committed to taking a scientific approach to each investigation. We provide an unbiased, third-party assessment of paranormal activity. Whenever possible, evidence and summary reports of PRI investigations are posted on this website.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to busy personal schedules, we are currently UNABLE TO TAKE REQUESTS for investigations of private residences . If you would like to request an investigation, please see our links page, where you will find other reputable organizations operating in and around southern Ontario. Until further notice, investigations of private residences will be conducted on an ad-hoc basis. We apologize for any inconvenience!

We are certainly not "experts" (and we would question anyone who refers to him/herself as such in this field). However, we realize that it is often helpful to gain the unbiased opinions of a third-party. PRI is always happy to help analyse any photographs, audio or video recordings of possible paranormal activity that you may have captured.
We're friendly, and won't bite...but please bear in mind that we'll also be giving you our honest opinions, and not necessarily what you are hoping to hear.
